University of Taipei: Fine Arts Female Student Residence Hall

University of Taipei: Fine Arts Female Student Residence Hall

$0.00

Our concept for a new female student residence hall is to translate the privacy and protection of the site to the primary facade form generator and to connect the two buildings into a larger L-shaped gesture. Natural air ventilation openings along the entire building facade allows for the regulation of both daylight and airflow, maximizing natural light and ventilation to all aspects of the interior. A long, integrated exterior path guides residents to the main entrance, while the central lobby continues into the interior and divides the program into two clear bands. A new outdoor sculptural exhibition space is also created for the hall.
