Located in the center of Kaohsiung City, this small residential apartment building sits on a very long and narrow plot of land on a busy street. The building facade concept derives from the natural lighting and air ventilation. The building facade is standardized with variation that creates a dynamic system of louvers. Maxthreads’ design introduces solar tracking devices that allow the louvers to move according to the direct sunlight angle, reducing the interior temperature. The project additionally introduces a half shaded roof garden that creates opportunity for residents to host their festival activities on the roof top.
