The initial concept for a private loft apartment’s complex was generated by developing a landscape strategy that would pick up the loose ends of the site's urban fabric and approach the design through interweaving a shopping complex with varying movement paths across and along the site. Derived from the surrounding structures, a pattern of linear directions forms the base podium for the landscaping strategy, folding up into the volume of the residential and shopping complex. Each patch of the facade picks up on a different direction of the composition, creating an outer envelope as a sharp and directed body.
