The traditional format of ground-floor shops with offices on the second floor within commercial shophouses has long been a common architectural sight in Malaysia, much like the prevalent form in Taiwan. The design of ground-floor shops expands the vibrancy of commerce and provides convenience to the community, reflecting the texture of commercial spaces in urban settings.
We redefined this concept by infusing commercial shophouses with modern aesthetics and multifunctionality.
MAUD carefully considered the interaction of the facade, using dual-tone glass to interact on the facade and create a rhythmic effect to the maximum extent. Structural column frames are further delineated, enhancing the building's depth and layers, reminiscent of an ornamental cornice.
