Who we are and what we do

MAUD (Maxthreads Architecture and Urban Design) is an architectural collective based in London, UK with an Asia branch in Taipei, Taiwan, operating in the fields of master-planning, architectural design, and corporate branding.

MAUD was founded in 2014, employing a team of 25 forward-thinking architects, visionary urbanists, and environmental technologists. The firm is spearheaded by British-educated, Taiwanese-born Managing Director, Max Chimin Yang.

MAUD offer services and extensive expertise in our capacity of master-planning for the future, architectural, landscape and interior design, corporate branding, and furniture design. We aim to challenge the existing principles of modern architecture and build for the 21st century.

Think globally; act locally. At MAUD, we believe in synergy between local contexts and a global marketplace, harnessing this relationship to create buildings, spaces, and master-plans in a world where the local is becoming ever more global.

This philosophy is grounded in Max Yang’s aim to embrace the flourishing relationship between the East and West, borrowing ideas, principles, and style to create and exist in the center of both rapidly changing worlds.

MAUD operates commercial and private projects throughout South East Asia and Europe, however, we always have an open mind for projects beyond those borders.
